MWAC showing strong at NJCAA Women's Volleyball Championships

The #1 ranked Parkland Cobras and the #6 ranked Lincoln Land Loggers are representing the MWAC strong in the 2015 NJCAA Women's Volleyball National Tournament in Phoenix, AZ.  Both team have won their opening games and are slated to play later this evening.

#1 ranked and undefeated Parkland College (55-0) took down Harcum in straight sets on Thursday 25-7, 25-12, 25-13 setting up Thursday evenings matchup against rival Cowley.  Parkland had to rally late to take the match 3-1 (15-25, 25-17, 25-12, 25-23) sending them to the Final Four for third straight year.  The Cobras will now play #4 ranked DMACC (34-8) Friday evening at 7:30pm CST.  A win will send the Cobras into the title match Saturday at 5:30pm.

Lincoln Land also won their first two matches at the National Tournament defeating #11 ranked Pasco-Hernando State 3-1 (18-25, 25-20, 25-21, 27-25).  The win sent the Loggers into the quarterfinal game against #3 ranked Johnson County with LLCC coming away with the upset win 3-1.  The Loggers (39-5) will match up against #2 Glendale (31-2) in the semi-final match Friday at 6:30pm CST.  A win will advance LLCC to the Championship match on Saturday at 5:30pm.
