Final 2017 Basketball Update

Mid-West Athletic Conference Men's and Women's basketball stats update:

Week: March 11th

Danville Area Community College

Danville Area Community College men's basketball team ended their season with a 14-14 regular season record and a 3-7 record in conference.

Danville women's basketball team finished their season with a 2-22 regular season record and 0-8 in conference.

Illinois Central College

Illinois Central College men's basketball team ended their season with a 16-14 regular season record and a conference record of 5-5.

John Wood Community College

The Blazers were unable to defeat Lincoln College on March 10th losing 81-66. John Wood Community College men's basketball team finished their season with a record of 19-13 and with a conference record of 6-4.

The Blazers faced off against Lewis and Clark Community College on March 10th, but were unable to defeat them 69-55. John Wood women's basketball team finished off their season with a 14-16 regular season record and a 6-4 record in conference.

Lewis and Clark Community College

The Trailblazers took on John Wood Community College on March10th and were able to successfully defeat them, 69-55. The next day they played Illinois Central College, but were unable to get the job done and fell short to ICC 70-65. Lewis and Clark women's basketball team ended their season with a record of 20-8 and 5-3 in conference.

Lincoln College

The Lynx faced Rend Lake College on March 9th and were able to successfully defeat them, 77-74. The following day the team played John Wood Community College and won, 81-66. On March 11th they could not get the job done against Parkland College in their final game of the season losing, 67-62. Lincoln College men's basketball team finished their season with a record of 19-14, and 5-6 in conference.

Lincoln College women's basketball team holds a record of 14-17 and 4-6 in conference. The team faced John Wood Community College on March 4th and won, 70-65. Later on March 10th they faced Parkland College and lost, 76-58.

Lincoln Land Community College

Lincoln Land Community College men's basketball team ended their season with a record of 15-14 and 2-8 in conference.

Lincoln Land women's basketball team finished their season with a regular season record of 16-13 and a 4-6 record in conference.

Parkland College

The Cobras played Lincoln College on March 11th and successfully won 67-62. After that Parkland men's team headed to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament on March 21st in Danville Illinois were they played their first game against Johnson County and successfully defeated them, 62-54. The team's second game at nationals on March 23rd was against Richard Bland, but unfortunately they lost 71-65, landing them a spot in the consolation bracket. On March 24th they faced Pima and won 104-90, moving into the final game for a shot at fifth place. On March 25th they faced Grand Rapids and defeated them 81-70, landing them 5th place in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.

            Parklands women's basketball team played Lake Land on March 11th and won, 70-67. The next day they faced off against Illinois Central College and won again, 81-54. The team landed themselves a spot at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament in Harrison, Arkansas. They faced Cincinnati State on March 21st and lost 72-65, placing themselves in the consolation bracket early on. On the 23rd the team bounced back and beat Dakota 52-41. On March 24th they faced Mesa and won again, 66-57 landing them a shot at 7th place. The next day the Cobras faced Guilford Tech and lost 80-73. The team placed 8th in the NJCAA Division II Nationals.
