Parkland Golf Team Earns NJCAA Academic Team of the Year

For the first time in program history, the Parkland Men's Golf Team had the highest grade point average of all NJCAA Men's Golf programs. Congratulations to Luke Baker, Christian Khachaturian, Nick Patton, Connor Poffinbarger, Chris Tate, Tyler Woods, Garrett Hixenbaugh, and Andreas Nielsen on earning a 3.58 grade point average for the 2016-17 school year. The Cobras, finished just ahead of a trio of schools-Central Alabama, Mineral Area, South Mountain CC who all tied for 2nd with a 3.52 cumulative GPA 

Team of the Year honors were awarded in 25 different sports with Region 24 earning four top spots as Kaskaskia (Women's X-Country and Men's Tennis) and Lincoln College (Softball) also took home Team of the Year honors. Four other Parkland teams also were recognized. Softball (3.39), Women's Basketball (3.31), Women's Soccer (3.17), and Volleyball (3.12) also were recognized for their outstanding achievement in the classroom.
