ICC Earns T-7 at NJCAA D2 National Golf Tournament

The NJCAA Men's Golf National Tournament held at Goose Pond Colony in Scottsboro, Alabama concluded on Friday, May 22 with Midwest Athletic Conference representative Illinois Central College earning a 7th place tie.  ICC shot rounds of 293, 286, 302, and 300 for a team total of 1181.  Scores were based on the best four individual rounds out of five players each day.  South Mountain (AZ) Community College won the tournament with an impressive 4-day total of 1122, which was 30 under par.

ICC was led by Zach Jewell (69, 69, 72, 75) who finished tied for 13th place at 3 under par.  Ethan Brue (71, 72, 73, 70) finished tied for 16th at 2 under par.  Both players made the 2015 NJCAA Division II National Golf Tournament All-Tournament Team as well as Second Team All-American honors.

Other MWAC players earning berths to the National Tournament were Nick Berger (Parkland College) and Tanner Cicci (Lincoln College).  Berger finished T35 with scores of 68, 75, 76, and 74 for a 4-day total of 293.  Cicci finished T62 with scores of 73, 79, 70, and 78 for a total of 300.
