Mid-West Athletic Conference Men’s and Women’s basketball stats update: Week: February 4th-15th

Danville Area Community College

Danville Area Community College men's basketball team is currently 12-10 in their regular season and 1-4 in conference. The team faced Lincoln Land Community College on February 4th and lost, 72-58. They took on Parkland College on the 8th and were defeated, 85-57. On the 11th the team successfully defeated Illinois Central College, 68-67 and the next day they continued their success, beating Rose Hulman Institute of Technology 85-64.

Danville women's basketball team holds a 2-14 record so far this season, as well as 0-4 in conference. On February 4th they were defeated by Lincoln Land Community College, 84-62. Later the Jaguars faced Parkland College on the 8th, and fell short to them 77-49.

Illinois Central College

Illinois Central College men's basketball team holds a 12-10 regular season record and a conference record of 3-2. They played Lincoln College on February 4th and were able to gain a win, 66-64. On the 8th the Cougars beat John Wood Community College, 80-74. Later that week on February 11th they fell short to Danville Area Community College, 68-67.

John Wood Community College

John Wood Community College men's basketball team's current record is 14-10 and they have a conference record of 3-2. The Blazers failed to defeat Parkland College on February 4th, 75-62. Later on the 8th they took on Illinois Central College and experienced another loss, 80-74. On February 11th they carried out their first win of the week against Lincoln College, 80-62.

            John Wood women's basketball team's current record is 11-12, and 4-1 in conference. The Blazers faced Parkland College on February 4th and were defeated, 81-68. Later that week they took on Lewis and Clark Community College beating them, 59-56. On February 11th they accomplished another win against Lincoln College, 77-47

Lewis and Clark Community College

Lewis and Clark women's basketball team holds a record of 14-6 and 2-2 in conference. On February 4th the Trailblazers took on Lincoln College, defeating them 76-58. Later that week they fell short to John Wood Community College, 59-56.

Lincoln College

Lincoln College men's basketball team's current record is 14-10, and 2-3 in conference. The Lynx fell to Illinois Central College on February 4th, 66-64. Later on that week they played Lincoln Land Community College and accomplished a win, 80-58. On February 11th the team failed to defeat John Wood Community College, 80-62.

Lincoln College women's basketball team holds a record of 11-14 and 2-3 in conference. They faced Lewis and Clark Community College on February 4th and lost 76-58. Later on February 8th they faced Lincoln Land Community College and were able to defeat them 63-60. After that on February 9th they gave up a loss to Illinois Wesleyan's Junior Varsity team, 80-55. The Lynx fell short to John Wood Community College on the 11th, 77-47 and they also experienced their fourth loss of the week on the 13th to Lake Land College, 72-39.

Lincoln Land Community College

Lincoln Land Community College men's basketball team has a current record of 14-9 and 1-4 in conference. On February 4th they produced a win against Danville Area Community College, 72-58. Later on the 8th the Loggers fell to Lincoln College, 80-58. The team failed to beat Parkland College on February 11th, 75-55 and after that they also were defeated by Rend Lake College on the 13th, 79-69.

Lincoln Land women's basketball team record is 12-11 so far this year and are 1-4 in conference. They faced Danville Area Community College on February 4th winning, 84-62. Later on the 8th the Loggers played Lincoln College and fell short, losing 63-60. The team failed to defeat Parkland College on the 11th, 70-66. They also gave up another loss to Illinois Wesleyan Junior Varsity team on the 13th, 71-49

 

Parkland College

Parkland College men's basketball team has a current record of 20-3, and are undefeated so far in conference with five wins. On February 4th they faced John Wood Community College and won, 75-62. Later on the Cobras managed to defeat Danville Area Community College, 85-57. The team faced Lincoln Land Community College on February 11th and won 75-55. They also accomplished there fourth win of the week to, Illinois Wesleyans Junior Varsity team on the 13th, 108-58. The team is on a 14 game winning streak.

Parkland women's basketball team's current record is 18-4 and are also undefeated in conference so far with five wins. They faced John Wood Community College on February 4th beating them, 81-68. Later on the 8th they played Danville Area Community College and produced another win, 77-49. On February 11th they accomplished their third win of the week to Lincoln Land Community College, 70-66. The Cobras are on a 10 game winning streak.

 

NJCAA Rankings

The National Junior College Athletic Association released their latest Division II men's and women's basketball rankings. The latest poll was taken on February 7th and the Mid-West Athletic Conference has two teams ranked and one team receiving other votes. Both Parkland Colleges basketball teams have been ranked in the latest poll. Parkland's men's team moved up in the rankings again from 12th to 9th. While their women's team remains in the 11th spot. Lincoln Land Community College men's team is receiving other votes in latest rankings as well.
