Former Cobra catcher and 2015 Parkland College Hall of Fame inductee Mark Carlson has been selected to work the 2017 Major League All-Star Game in Miami. Carlson, who last worked the All-Star game in 2003 in Chicago, will work 2nd base in the Tuesday night exhibition. 

Long time MLB ump Joe West will be behind the plate, Angel Hernandez is at 1st base, Carlson at 2nd, Chirs Conroy 3rd base, while Manny Gonzalez and Mike Estabrook will work the left and right field lines respectively.
