MBB prepare for Arrowhead schedule after two fought non conference matchups

January 24, 2022 - The Kishwaukee Kougars are looking forward to a rigorous Arrowhead Conference schedule the remaining four weeks of the regular season and if the past two games are any indication, they will be hard fought affairs to the end.  On Monday, Kish hosted Spoon River College.  After having a first half deficit of 37-32, Kish shot just 3-11 behind the three point line in the second half, as they tried to shoot their way back.  However, the final score of 71-64 was in Spoon River's favor.  One of the bright spots was that the Kougars were led offensively by Joshua Bocher, in his first game back in a month, with 19 points. Jalen Smith added 17 and 11 rebounds with Seth Gould putting in 10 points and 4 steals.

On Saturday, the Kougars travelled to Chicago to take on Olive Harvey College. Kish would fight back from as many as 14 points in the second half to take a 1 point lead with under 2 minutes to go but would fall 82-79.  Jalen Smith (21 points) and Joseph Bocher (16 points) paced the Kougars.  Seth Gould added 11 points and Fredrick Reynolds 10 points.

Kishwaukee (5-13 overall, 0-2 Arrowhead Conference) will play seven of thir next nine games versus Arrowhead rivals starting with Carl Sandburg College this Thrusday at 7:30 pm in Malta.
