The Lady Lakers bounced back with a win against Heartland CC on Saturday September 14th with a score of 1-0. Josie Byers (assist by Bruna Kruschewsky) scored the only goal of the game in the first half.
"Really happy with the defensive performance the girls put on. We really suffocated Heartland in the first half. They couldn't really move the ball out of their own half. Really happy with Josie coming off the bench and scoring the goal that decided the game. We had more chances to score, but just couldn't find the net. We will definitely need to put more of our chances away if we are going to do well in the conference," said Coach Viedenkamp following the game.
The Lakers will open conference play on Wednesday, September 18th at 1 PM at home against Northeast Nebraska CC.
