NORMAL — Logan Van Heuklon (Dunlap, Ill./Dunlap) and Jack Shields (Peoria Heights, Ill./Notre Dame) each had a pair of hits, but the Carl Sandburg College baseball team lost 17-6 at sixth-ranked Heartland on Tuesday night.

KEY MOMENTS
• After surrendering a seven-run second, the Chargers (25-21) answered with six runs in the third. Shields got Sandburg on the board with an RBI single, and Van Heuklon followed with a two-run double. Jack Barham (Dunlap, Ill./Dunlap) singled in a run, and Chase Mason (Washington, Ill./Washington) brought home two with a base hit to left to make it 7-6.
• The Hawks came back with 10 unanswered runs, scoring one in the fourth, four in the fifth and five in the sixth.
