NO.8 EAGLES SPIKE NO.6 MCHENRY

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The eighth-ranked Kirkwood women's volleyball team defeated sixth-ranked McHenry, 3-1, at the Parkland tournament Saturday.

The Eagles (16-7) finished with a 2-2 record at the event.

Kirkwood lost to Lincoln Land (3-1), fell to third-ranked Parkland (3-0) and topped Muskegon (3-0) during the weekend.

Emily Strauss led the Eagles in the kills department with 46 in four matches. Kamara Dickerson had 43 kills, Katie Kopriva 40 and Jada Golden-Smith 24.

Rachael Nelson rolled up 145 assists. Golden-Smith finished with 14 blocks and Danielle Stock had 12.

Takoa Kopriva paced Kirkwood in digs with 61. Emma Link finished with 44, Dickerson 42, Nelson 36 and Katie Kopriva 31.
