JOVONEY BROWN'S HAT TRICK GIVES HEARTLAND FIRST LOSS OF THE YEAR

SPENCER, IOWA- The #14 ILCC Lakers Welcomed undefeated Heartland CC to Spencer. The Lakers had a huge factor to overcome in the first half, the wind. Gusts of wind reached up to 13mph at the time of kickoff.

 

However the Lakers where able to adapt and get on the score sheet first, when Jovoney Brown got on the end of through ball from Luto Tom in the first eight minutes of the game, 1-0 Lakers.

Twenty-six minutes later Brown would get onto the end of a Malik Smith pass and chip the keeper. The Lakers would go into halftime up 2-0.

 

Just two minutes into the second half and Jovoney Brown would complete his Hat Trick. Luan Cesar would find the Jamaican inside the box for a third goal tap in.

3-0 Lakers. Twenty minutes later Luto Tom would hit a laser from 40 yards out into the back of the Heartland goal, putting the Lakers up 4-0. A minute later Heartland would get on the board to make the score 4-1. In the 75th minute the Lakers would seal the deal when Jean-Mikeal Tshibanda scored the 5th goal as he got on the end of a Raz Levy ball.

Josh Wilson would end up saving two Heartland Penalty kicks.

 

The Lakers move to 5-1 on the season, and will host #9 Parkland CC tomorrow, kickoff 12pm.
