MWAC Updates 3-26 to 4-13

It has been a rough spring regarding the weather, but that doesn't stop the Midwest Athletic Conference!

Monday, March 26th

MWAC Baseball: On Monday, March 26th Danville Area Community College Baseball was scheduled to play Lincoln Trail College, but it was postponed. 

Tuesday, March 27th 

MWAC Baseball: On Tuesday, March 27th Lincoln Land Community College traveled to Heartland Community College for a double header. The first game, Heartland took the victory with a score of 12-2 and the second game Heartland won 3-0. 

Wednesday, March 28th 

MWAC Baseball: On Wednesday, Danville Area Community College traveled to play Lindenwood-Belleville in a double header. Spoon River Baseball was scheduled to play at home against Carl Sandburg, but it was cancelled due to weather conditions. John Wood Community College Baseball traveled to play Quincy University's Junior Varsity Team. John Wood won 14-3 in seven innings. 

MWAC Softball: On Wednesday, March 28th Heartland played two conference games at home against Lincoln Land Community College. Heartland won both games 9-1 in six innings for the first game and 10-9 in the second game. 

Thursday, March 29th

MWAC Baseball: On Thursday, March 29th Lincoln College was scheduled to play a double header against Quincy University's JV Team at home but was cancelled due to weather conditions. 

MWAC Softball: On Thursday, Heartland Community College played two conference games at home against Lewis & Clark Community College. Heartland Softball won both games with the first game being 10-1 in five innings and the second game 3-0. 

Friday, March 30th

MWAC Baseball: On Friday, Lewis & Clark Community College traveled to Lincoln Land Community College to play two conference games. The first game, Lincoln Land won 4-3 and the second game Lewis & Clark won 3-2. Parkland College and Illinois Central College played in two conference games as well at ICC. Parkland College won the first game with a score of 5-0 and Illinois Central College won the second game 5-3. Danville Area Community College played at home against Heartland Community College on Friday. Heartland won both conference games. The first game 7-0 and the second game 5-1. 

MWAC Softball: On Friday, March 30th Spoon River Community College Softball played two conference games at home against Danville Area Community College. Danville won 2-1 the first game in eight innings. Danville also took the win in the second game with a score of 7-0. Heartland Community College Softball played two conference games at home against John Wood Community College. Heartland won both conference games. The first game was 8-0 in five innings and the second game was 5-0. 

Saturday, March 31st 

MWAC Baseball: Conference games on Saturday continued for the MWAC Baseball. Heartland Community College played at home against Danville in two conference games. Heartland won the first game 23-2 in 5 innings. Heartland took the win the second game as well with a score of 14-4 in five innings. John Wood and Spoon River played two conference games at John Wood Community College. Spoon River won 11-5 the first game. The second game was suspended. Lincoln Land Community College played at home in two conference games against Lewis & Clark Community College. Lewis & Clark won the first game 9-4 in seven innings. Lincoln Land Community College won the second game 7-6 in eight innings. 

MWAC Softball: On Saturday, Lincoln College played two conference games at home against John Wood Community College. John Wood Softball defeated Lincoln the first game 12-6. The second game, John Wood also took the victory with a score of 16-5 in five innings. Lincoln Land Community College played two conference games at home as well against Danville Area Community College. Lincoln Land won both conference games. The first game was 13-2 in five innings and the second game was 8-0 in five innings. 

Monday, April 2nd 

MWAC Softball: On Monday, April 2nd John Wood Community College was scheduled to play two games against Kirkwood Community College at home, but games were cancelled due to weather conditions. Lincoln College traveled to Spoon River to play two conference games on Monday. Spoon River won the first game 17-1 in five innings. Spoon River also took the second win against Lincoln with a score of 7-2.

Tuesday, April 3rd 

MWAC Baseball: On Tuesday, April 3rd Lewis & Clark Community College were scheduled to play two games at St. Charles Community College but they were cancelled due to weather conditions. John Wood Community College were scheduled to play two games at home against Quincy University's JV Team, but were cancelled due to weather conditions. Spoon River College were scheduled to play Robert Morris University at 5:00pm. 

MWAC Softball: On Tuesday, Heartland Softball and Illinois Central College were scheduled to play two games in Normal, Illinois but they were cancelled due to weather conditions. 

Wednesday, April 4th

MWAC Softball: On Wednesday, April 4th Lewis & Clark Community College was scheduled to play Mineral Area College at 2:00 and 4:00pm. 

Thursday, April 5th

MWAC Baseball: On Wednesday, April 5th Heartland Community College played two conference games at home against Lewis & Clark Community College. Heartland won the first game 10-2 in seven innings and the second game 1-0 in seven innings. John Wood Community College played two conference games at home against Lincoln College. The first game John Wood won 6-4 in nine innings. John Wood won the second game 5-4 in seven innings. Danville Area Community College Baseball traveled to Vincennes University where they fell to Vincennes 16-2 in seven innings. Lincoln Land and ICC played two conference games on Wednesday in Springfield, IL. The first game ICC took the victory with a score of 3-1. The second game Lincoln Land won 5-3. 

MWAC Softball: On Thursday, April 5th Lewis & Clark Community College were scheduled to play St. Charles Community College at 2:00 and 4:00pm. Lincoln Land Community College played two conference games on Thursday against Parkland College. Lincoln Land won the first game 10-6. Lincoln Land also took the second conference win with a score of 8-2. Spoon River College played at home against Kankakee Community College on Thursday where Spoon River defeated Kankakee 11-3 in six innings. The second game against Kankakee and Spoon River, Kankakee Community College won 6-4. 

Friday, April 6th 

MWAC Baseball: On Friday, Parkland College played Illinois Central College in two conference games at the University of Illinois. Parkland took two conference wins with scores of 3-2 and 8-4. 

MWAC Softball: On Friday, April 6th Parkland and Danville College played in two conference games in Danville. Danville won the first conference game 15-7 in five innings. Parkland won the second game 8-4. 

Saturday, April 7th 

MWAC Baseball: On Saturday, Lincoln Land Community College and Illinois Central College played in two conference games at Illinois Central College. The first game ICC won 7-0 and the second game LLCC won 5-4. 

Sunday, April 8th

MWAC Softball: On Sunday, April 8th Lincoln Land Community College played two conference games at home against Lewis & Clark Community College. The first conference game, Lincoln Land Community College won 5-0. The second conference game, Lincoln Land won 15-0 against Lewis & Clark. Danville Area Community College and Lincoln College also played in two conference games on Sunday at Lincoln College. Danville won both conference games with the first game being 8-0 in five innings and the second game being 9-1. 

Tuesday, April 10th

MWAC Baseball: On Tuesday, April 10th Danville Area Community College played two conference games against Spoon River at Lenz Field. The first conference game, Spoon River won 9-1 in seven innings. The second conference game, Danville won 7-2 in seven innings. Lewis & Clark Community College was scheduled to play at home against Jefferson College, but was cancelled due to weather conditions so instead, Heartland Community College traveled to Lewis & Clark Community College where they played two conference games on Tuesday. Heartland took home two conference wins with scores of 6-4 in seven innings and 3-1 in seven innings. John Wood Community College Baseball traveled to Hannibal-La Grange University where they played two games. The first game John Wood won 11-0 in six innings and the second game John Wood won 16-1 in five innings. Illinois Central College played two conference games at home against Lincoln College on Tuesday. ICC won 16-3 in five innings the first game. ICC took the win in the second game with the score of 8-3 in seven innings.

MWAC Softball: On Tuesday, Lewis & Clark Community College played two conference games at home against Lincoln College. Lewis & Clark was 15-7 in six innings the first game. The second game, Lewis & Clark won 10-3 against Lincoln College. Parkland College and Spoon River Community College played in two conference games as well at Spoon River Community College. Spoon River won the first game 5-2 as well as the second game with a score of 5-2. Lincoln Land Community College Softball played two games at home against John Wood Community College on Tuesday. Lincoln Land won both conference games. The first game was 10-2 and the second game was 9-3. Illinois Central College played at home on Tuesday against Kankakee Community College where they won the first game 13-2 in five innings. Kankakee won the second game 9-4. 

Wednesday, April 11th 

MWAC Baseball: On Wednesday, April 11th Parkland College traveled to Millikin in Decatur, Illinois where they played one game. Parkland won 9-1. Lincoln College played two conference games at home against John Wood Community College. John Wood won 6-2 the first game. Lincoln College Baseball won the second conference game with a score of 6-4. On Wednesday, Heartland Community College traveled to Kirkwood Community College where they played two games. Heartland won 13-2 the first game in six innings and 16-0 the second game in five innings. Danville Area Community College played two conference games at home against Spoon River. Danville and Spoon River both split. The first game Danville won 6-5 in nine innings and the second game Spoon River won 9-3. Lincoln Land Baseball played at home against Quincy University's Junior Varsity Team on Wednesday. Lincoln Land pulled out a win in the first game with a score of 16-11 in seven innings. Lincoln Land took the second win as well with a score of 10-8 in seven innings. Illinois Central College Baseball traveled to West Burlington, Iowa to play Southeastern Community College. ICC fell to Southeastern 16-6 in eight innings. 

MWAC Softball: On Wednesday, April 11th conference games were being played for MWAC Softball. Danville Area Community College played two games at home against Lewis & Clark Community College. The first conference game, Danville won 8-0 in five innings. The second game, Danville also won 5-3. Spoon River College played two conference games at home on Wednesday against John Wood Community College. John Wood defeated Spoon River 12-9 the first game. John Wood also won the second game 9-0 in five innings. Heartland Community College played Parkland College on Wednesday, April 11th in two conference games. The first game Heartland won 7-0. The second game Parkland won 8-7. Illinois Central College and Lincoln College were scheduled to play but were cancelled due to weather conditions. 

Thursday,April 12th 

MWAC Baseball: On Thursday, Parkland College traveled to Eureka to play their Junior Varsity Team. Parkland won 9-2. 

Friday, April 13th 

MWAC Baseball: All conference games were being played on Friday, April 13th. Lincoln Land Community College played two conference games at home against Lincoln. Lincoln Land won both games with the first game being 11-1 and the second game 14-4. Heartland Community College played two conference games at home as well against Spoon River Community College. Heartland took both wins. The first game with a score of 10-0 in five innings and the second game with a score of 7-1 in seven innings. John Wood Community College traveled to Parkland College where they played two conference games on Friday. The first game Parkland won 11-3 in eight innings and the second game Parkland won 5-3 in seven innings. 

MWAC Softball: On Friday, April 13th Lewis & Clark Softball were scheduled to play East Central College at 2:00 and 4:00pm. Parkland College played two games against ICC in East Peoria on Friday. The first game ICC won 7-4 and the second game ICC Softball won 12-1 in five innings.
