Saturday, February 3rd

MWAC Men's Basketball: On Saturday, February 3rd Men's Basketball had a busy day. Illinois Central College traveled to Lincoln College where Lincoln College won 81-70. Parkland College was also on the road on Saturday traveling to John Wood Community College. John Wood and Parkland played a very close game of 68-67 with John Wood coming out on top. Lincoln Land Men's Basketball played at Danville Community College on Saturday, February 3rd. Danville gained the win over Lincoln Land 89-66.

MWAC Women's Basketball: On Saturday, February 3rd Danville Area Community College Women's Basketball played at home against Lincoln Land Community College. Lincoln Land took the victory over Danville 64-46. Lincoln College Women's Basketball also played at home against Lewis & Clark On Saturday where Lincoln College won 80-59. Parkland College Women's Basketball traveled to John Wood where Parkland gained the victory with a score of 74-61. 

 

Wednesday, February 7th

MWAC Men's Basketball: On February 7th, John Wood and Illinois Central College Men's Basketball played at ICC. John Wood Men's Basketball won 70-60. Lincoln Men's Basketball and Lincoln Land Community College Basketball played on Wednesday at Lincoln Land where Lincoln gained the victory of 68-65. Danville Area Community College Men's Basketball traveled to Parkland College where another close game was played. Danville Area Community College won 67-66 over Parkland. 

MWAC Women's Basketball: On Wednesday, Lincoln Land and Lincoln College Women's Basketball played each other at Lincoln Land. Lincoln took the victory over Lincoln Land 81-75. Lewis & Clark Community College Women's Basketball played at home on Wednesday against John Wood Community College. Lewis & Clark won 66-57. Danville Area Community College traveled to Parkland College on Wednesday where Parkland took the victory with a score of 68-37.

Thursday, February 8th

MWAC Softball: The first games of MWAC Spring Softball started on February 8th. Spoon River Community College played Copiah-Lincoln Community College at Hinds Community College where Spoon River fell 5-2. Spoon River played a second game at the same location, but against Hinds Community College where they lost 7-1.

 

Friday, February 9th

MWAC Women's Basketball: On Friday, February 9th Lincoln College Women's Basketball played Bryant & Statton College from Wisconsin in Lincoln, Illinois. Lincoln College won 80-66.

MWAC Softball: On February 9th, Spoon River Softball played Bossier Parish Community College where Bossier Parish gained the win with a score of 10-0. Spoon River played their second game against Hinds Community College where they fell to Hinds 11-2.

 

Saturday, February 10th

MWAC Men's Basketball: On Saturday, February 10th, Men's Basketball for the Mid-West Athletic Conference was very busy. Illinois Central College Men's Basketball traveled to Danville where Danville took the victory with a score of 91-83. Robert Morris Springfield played Lincoln Land Community College Men's Basketball at home on Saturday where Lincoln Land won 89-67. John Wood and Lincoln College Men's Basketball played each other on the 10th at John Wood. John Wood gained the victory 81-72. Parkland Men's Basketball traveled to Rend Lake College where they won 78-67.

MWAC Women's Basketball: On February 10th, Lincoln Land Community College Women's Basketball played at home against Parkland College. After a close game between the two teams Parkland took the victory with a score of 68-65. Lincoln College traveled to John Wood where John Wood took home the victory with a score of 69-60. Danville Area Community College and Lewis & Clark Women's Basketball played on Saturday, February 10th. Lewis & Clark won against Danville 58-42.

 

Sunday, February 11th
MWAC Men's Basketball: Danville Area Community College Men's Basketball traveled to Rose Hulman College where they won 79-64

 

Monday, February 12th

MWAC Men's Basketball: On Monday, February 12th Illinois Central College played Rend Lake College at ICC where Illinois Central took the victory with a score of 71-65.

 

Tuesday, February 13th

MWAC Men's Basketball: On February 13th, Parkland College Men's Basketball traveled to Lincoln Land Community College. Parkland College Men's Basketball won 64-54.

MWAC Women's Basketball: On Tuesday, February 13th Lincoln Land Community College Women's Basketball played at home against St. Louis Community College. Lincoln Land Community College Women's Basketball fell to St. Louis 84-64.

 

Wednesday, February 14th

MWAC Men's Basketball: On Wednesday, February 14th Illinois Central Men's Basketball traveled to Southeastern Community College where they fell to Southeastern 73-52.

MWAC Women's Basketball: On February 14th, Illinois Central College Women's Basketball traveled to Parkland College where Parkland won 74-68.

 

Saturday, February 17th

MWAC Men's Basketball: On Saturday, Lincoln Land and Illinois Central Men's Basketball played at ICC. Illinois Central College Men's Basketball defeated Lincoln Land 83-69. Danville Area Community College Men's played at home against John Wood Community College where John Wood took the victory of 61-58. Parkland College Men's Basketball traveled to Lincoln College where Parkland won over Lincoln 81-72.

MWAC Women's Basketball: On February 17th, Lewis & Clark Community College Women's Basketball played Lincoln Land Community College Women's Basketball at home. Both teams played in a very close game, but Lewis & Clark took home the victory with a score of 78-75. Parkland Women's Basketball traveled to Lincoln College where Parkland Women's Basketball won in a close game of 60-59. Danville Area Community College Women's Basketball played at home against John Wood where John Wood took the victory over Danville 74-44.

 

Sunday, February 18th

MWAC Baseball: On Sunday, February 18th the first baseball game of the season was played. Parkland College Roane State Community College on the 18th at Rent One Ballpark in Marion, Illinois. Parkland College won 8-2 for their first game. Parkland College played a second game on Sunday at Rent One Park against Southeastern Illinois College. Parkland gained another victory with a score of 5-3. 

MWAC Softball: On Sunday, February 18th, the Winter Dome Tournament was being played at St. Ambrose University. John Wood Community College Softball played Kirkwood Community College Softball where John Wood fell 10-0. John Wood Community College was set to play another game at 2:00pm against Southeastern Community College. 

 

UPCOMING:

Monday, February 19th

MWAC Men's Basketball: On Monday, February 19th Illinois Central and Bryant & Stratton College from Wisconsin are playing against each other in Peoria, Illinois at 7:00pm. 

 

Tuesday, February 20th

MWAC Women's Basketball: On Tuesday, February 20th Lincoln College Women's Basketball will play against Olney Central College at 5:30pm.

 

Wednesday, February 21st

MWAC Men's Basketball: On Wednesday, Illinois Central College and Parkland College will be playing at Parkland at 7:30pm. Lincoln Land Community College Men's Basketball will be playing John Wood at Lincoln Land on Wednesday at 7:30pm. Lincoln College Men's Basketball will travel to Danville to play Danville at a start time of 7:30pm.

MWAC Women's Basketball: Lincoln Land Community College Women's Basketball will play at home against John Wood Community College on Wednesday, February 21st at 5:30pm. Danville Area Community College Women's Basketball will also be at home playing against Lincoln College at 5:30pm. Lewis & Clark Women's Basketball will travel to Parkland where they are scheduled to play at 5:30pm.

Friday, February 23rd

MWAC Softball: On Friday, February 23rd, Mid-West Athletic Conference Teams including Spoon River and Illinois Central College will be heading to Mississippi to play in the Rush Invitational in Meridian, Mississippi and the Gwen Magee Invitational in Ellisville, Mississippi. Spoon River College is set to play Wallace State Community College-Hanceville at 1:00pm in Meridian, Mississippi. Illinois Central College is scheduled to play Northwest Mississippi Community College at 5:00pm in Ellisville, Mississippi. Spoon River will then play again at 5:00pm in Meridian, Mississippi against Bevill State Community College. Spoon River will play a third game on Friday against Northeast Mississippi Community College at 7:00pm.

Saturday, February 24th

MWAC Men's Basketball: On February 24th, John Wood Men's Basketball will be traveling to play Parkland Community College at 3:00pm. Illinois Central College Men's will play at home against Lincoln College at 3:00pm. Lincoln Land Community College and Danville Community College will be playing at Lincoln Land at 3:00pm. Only a couple of weeks till the Regional Tournament. Good luck MWAC Teams!

MWAC Women's Basketball: On Saturday, February 24th, Danville Area Community College Women's Basketball will travel to Lincoln Land Community College where they will play at 1:00pm. Lewis & Clark Women's Basketball and Lincoln College Women's Basketball are scheduled to play at 1:00pm on the 24th. Parkland College Women's Basketball will play at home on February 24th against John Wood Women's Basketball at 1:00pm. 

MWAC Baseball: On Saturday, February 24th, some of MWAC Baseball will be playing in the Logan Classic at Carbondale, Illinois at Southern Illinois University. Spoon River and Bevill State Community College will play at 12:00pm. Lincoln Land Community College and Kishwaukee College Baseball are scheduled from a 1:00pm start. At 2:30pm, Parkland College and Volunteer State Community College will play. Lincoln Land Baseball and Kishwaukee Baseball are scheduled at 3:00pm. Spoon River and Bevill State Community College will play at 3:00pm. Finally, ICC and John A. Logan College are scheduled for a 5:30pm start on Saturday.

MWAC Softball: On Saturday, February 24th, Spoon River will still be playing in Meridian, Mississippi against Calhoun Community College at 11:00am. Spoon River will then play a second game for the Rush Invitational against Motlow State Community College at 1:00pm.

 

Sunday, February 25th

MWAC Baseball: Sunday, February 25th continues the Logan Classic in Carbondale, Illinois. Illinois Central College and South Suburban College Baseball will play at 12:00pm. Lincoln Land Community College and Kishwaukee College are set for a 1:00pm start on Sunday. Illinois Central will be back at 2:30pm playing against John A. Logan College. The last game of the day on Sunday will be against Lincoln Land Baseball and Kishwaukee College Baseball with a start time of 3:00pm.

MWAC Softball: On Sunday, February 25th Spoon River Softball will be playing Copiah-Lincoln Community College. The time is to be decided.
